wireless interface (ath1) errors and dropped counter increases

Hello,

I understand the cause of errors and dropped in wired interface, but not sure about the wireless interface.
The errors and dropped counter grows over time.

Q: Does anyone know what could cause the errors and dropped counter grows and how to fix it?

ath1
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MTU:2290 Metric:1
RX packets:39372 errors:447 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:44862 errors:0 dropped:6 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:12518468 (11.9 MiB) TX bytes:31246915 (29.7 MiB)

Hours later

ath1
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MTU:2290 Metric:1
RX packets:338168 errors:856 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:444595 errors:0 dropped:34 overruns:0 carrier:0

RX bytes:65327584 (62.3 MiB) TX bytes:462202651 (440.7 MiB)

Thanks,
Jerry

Can you please explain how lowering MTU could help?

For the wired errors/dropped counters, we don't suggest MTU change to resolve it.

Thanks,
Jerry
