Red face wireless connection

I am trying to establish my first wireless connection on a linux mint (julia) laptop. I am allways asked for a keyring password.. and i don"t have one or don't find one in the seahorse folder under default. it appears as if one has never been set up on this install, does anyone know how i can fix this.. thanks, gary

I can't answer your question, but I can say I loathe that some distros/applications enable those keyring thingees by default. They may think that they are protecting users and promoting security, but all they are doing is annoying users and leading to quandaries such as yours.

This article may help. As I refuse to use "keyrings," I have no way of testing it. http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/848

I use KeePassX for my pwords; it's cross platform and portable, so it's better than any "keyring."
