wireless communication without a router


Hi,
can wireless devices communication with each other without a router
and how is it whit security? with router I need a key/passwd, what if there is no router?

it is called ad hoc mode, most phones support wireless acesspoint, you can set some secutiry as well.

thanks, that's the one I was searching for
is this the same as peer to peer but just with wireless?

the security thing seems a bit problematic for this type of network

Security is problematic for any wireless connection; the degree of "problematic" might vary, but the "problematic" is always there.
