windoze 2k3 mail server on orange
 

i am running ipcop v. 1.4.2 (i just now upgraded)

my problem is that my pop3/smtp server cannot get out of the dmz to deliver it's messages, and i have no idea what to do. like the title says, i'm running 2k3 (datacenter) on my orange (dmz) network. it recieves mail wonderfully.... but will not send out of the dmz.

Is this a commercial connection, or something like cable, or DSL? I bet your using Cox or Comcast aren't you? You can't setup a mailserver (at least using port 25), as your access to smtp servers is restricted to your isp's servers, so your server can't send mail as needed. You can use dyndns mailhop to get around this if necessary.

got it .... it was a dns issue
