Windows XP Workstations

I've got a Mandrake Linux 8.2 Server running Samba 2.2.4

I've managed to add an Windows XP Professional Workstation to the Domain ok, however, when I log on to the domain as a user via that workstation, I am unable to install any software, or change the system time as I do not have the correct local administrator privileges.

I've tried adding the domain account in to the local administrators account, however, I get the following error message come up:

"Information Returned for the Object Picker for Object "User" was incomplete, The Object will not be processed"

I also get The following error message come up when I try to attach to a network print queue and install printer drivers:

"A Policy is in effect on your computer which prevents you from connecting to this print queue. Please contact your systems administrator"

I can map network drives ok, and access information on the samba server, however I appear to have two workstations that are doing exactly the same thing.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

thanks
Leon.
