windows vpn and iptables

dear all,

Redhat 3.0 enterprise is installed on gateway system. it is acting as proxy and firewall. current firewall is nating all traffic and default policy is ACCEPT.

the problem is when a user of windows xp dial vpn, he is able to connect to remote vpn, while another user can't do same time. if i restart the firewall, and redials from 2nd client he is able to connect vpn, where as 1st one is unable to connect.

is it known issue?
Any one knows about this, whats the solution for this .

Are the two users trying to connecting to two separate remote networks or the same one?

When you say dial, do you mean that the gateway is connected to isdn or dsl that needs to connect on demand? Or do you mean they dial out on phone modems?
What device (or devices) does (or do) the dialing and where is it (are they)? If it is the latter --- a modem on the users computer, then the gateway isn't involved at all.

I am using DSL and hving 1 Mbps link, having 80% free bandwidth, users of my network acces single remote windows vpn server. if "user A" dials vpn first; he have successful connection, "user B" is unable to connect to server, and vice versa.

if i restart the firewall (rhel 3 iptables), then any one who try to connect vpn first is able to connect.

Why have 2 VPN tunnels? Don't you have the networks connected with one tunnel?
