Windows shares on Suse

Hi Im kinda stuck with this. Ive got a home network and just install Suse 9.2 and I can browse my windows networks with Suse Firewall stopped but as soon as I enable it I loose the network again. I have allowed the Samba Server service in the Yast configuration for the firewall but there isnt an option to enable the client. I have tried allowing UDP ports 138 139 and 445 but it doesnt save the port numbers if I try to add them as TCP. Any suggestions?

Cheers. BTW Im a Newbie ish.

You need to allow a few things. Usually, I just insert my own rule into iptables

/usr/sbin/iptables -I INPUT -s 192.168.0.0/24 -j ACCEPT
/usr/sbin/iptables -I OUTPUT -d 192.168.0.0/24 -j ACCEPT

These should allow your internal network (called 192.168.0.0/24 for me. it could be different for you) access to your machine, and your machine access to your internal network.
