Angry Windows can't open files transferred thro' ProFTPd

Hi there!!!!!!!!!!

I recently installed proftpd and configured it thro webmin. But whenever I copy data from my linux box to my Windows PC the files get corrupted. Windows show errors like it can't read the files. But those same files run well on Linux........

I dunno wheres the problem.
can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Are you sending in the appropriate mode? Windows defaults to ASCII, which is fine for text, but for anything else, you'll need to force it to binary.

thanks bryan. it did work.

but 1 more small problem.....................
now whenever i want to copy the files i have to change the mode to binary manually.
can't binary be made default?
I made binary default thro webmin but it didn't work. I also checked proftpd.conf file under /usr/local/etc/, but it doesnt have option of the same.

You would need to set it as the default on the client somehow. Perhaps a command line option? I always just do it manually each time.
