My Windows machine asks me for a password when I try to connect to the shared folder on my Linux machine. But I don't have a password set up and don't want one. How do I get in without a password? Thanks.
In my smb.conf, I have "security = share" in the global section and then in the section for my share(s), I've got "guest ok = yes" and then I don't need a password when connecting. Also remember you'll have to restart smbd after making the changes.
