Hi, i recently installed linux on my computer, but now i can't connect to the internet in windows. I use a network card to connect to a lan that connects to the net. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
A little more information would be good. Installing Linux isn't going to do anything to your NIC in terms of its functionality in Windows unless you specifically ran some utility which changed the card settings.
-What version of Linux and Win are you running?
-What make/model of NIC do you have?
-Can you connect in Linux?
-Can you ping the IP of the NIC in linux or Win? Can you ping any machins on the LAN? Can you ping 208.247.106.177 (this site's IP)?
I can connect in linux, but not in windows. i can't even ping this site when i tried. my card is a 3com integrated Ethernet card. I am using Suse and win98.
