Windows 2000 using dns on RH6.2 box

We have a Win 2000 server that uses a RH 6.2 box for DNS....I am not an MS guy, but our MS tech says that this is normal...I don't believe him. The 2000 box is trying to send updates to my DNS server, and obviously it denies those updates...

Here's a clip from the logs...

May 16 08:34:40 hostname named[15029]: denied update from [].6256 for ""

Any ideas what that 2000 box is trying to send my RH box, and what can I tell our MS guy?

Thanks alot!!
