Ok i have a windows 2k server box and a redhat 7.1 box, and also a Suse 6.4 box. basically I want to use the 2000 box as the domain controller, but I don't know wether I need a special microsof client on the linux machines. Can someone walk me through step by step how to make this work?? thanks
i was thinking of doing that, but I want to use the 2k box as the domain controller, and i need some kind software so the linux boxes can log into the 2k server.. thanks
samba is still the way forward, it deals with all that high level crap. www.samba.org. i coulnd't quite see exactly how to configure samba to use a 2k as a domain controller, but you can definitely set samba up for domain master or a WINS server.
