Question Wifi connectivity issues on fresh-ish Fedora 37 install with Intel AX200 wifi card.

Hi, not sure if this is the right place, but here goes.

Two weeks ago I made a fresh install of Fedora 37 on my Dell XPS 13 7390 with an Intel AX200 Wifi card. Everything worked great at first(first week), but I started to lose the wifi connection. Sometimes I can just reconnect; sometimes I can go a couple of hours with working wifi, at other times it just won't connect. Rebooting often(not always) solves it for a while.

No other devices have Wifi issues and the problem persists if I try to connect to other networks. So I'm fairly sure this is an isolated problem on my laptop. Up until two weeks ago I was on Ubuntu 20.04 and had no issues.

I tried downgrading the iwlax2xx-firmware driver to the septmeber 2022 release, and it "kind of worked" for a couple of days, but now it is the same again(currently on iwlax2xx-firmware-20230117-146.fc37.noarch).

I also tried disabling wifi power management, but no luck.

My dmesg shows errors related to wifi, but I can't interpret it very well. See line 543 in particular.
https://pastebin.com/8PvteNQT

Any help is greatly appreciated! I work from home and this is my main computer.

Hi, thanks for answering.

Today I even reinstalled Ubuntu 22.04, thinking it was a Fedora/Red Hat issue, but to my great dismay, the problem is the same.

I have tried everything I've found online, including the links you provided.

Adding
Code:
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1
to /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf does work as a workaround for now; wifi is stable and the "Microcode SW error" are gone from dmesg. However the connection is obviously a lot slower. At least I can do my job .

I still get a WARNING related to iwlwifi in dmesg:
Code:

I've now been messing with this for two full days.

Setting "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf, and confining wifi to 20Mhz works, but that's really only a temporary solution.

I tried everything I've found online, and there is a lot of related issues. I even reinstalled Ubuntu 22.04. Nothing seem to work.

Just got a system update(Fedora 37) with new iwlwifi firmware, iwlax2xx-firmware-20230210-147.fc37.noarch, and it seems to work now. No warning and no microcode errors in dmesg! Yeay!

Scratch that. Microcode errors are back. so I had to do the "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1" again :/
