I use DSL thru a router, so I won't be of much use, but whoever will won't be able/willing to do much w/o some more info - like distro and version, KDE version, maybe some details concerning your PPP setup?

Have you looked through all your logs?

To be more specific I am using Yellowdog Linux on an apple ibook.

Kppp conects to my ISP

when initially connected I can successfully ping any host, ftp, and even recieve e-mail.

Finally, when I try to use a web browser (tried both mozilla and konquer) there is no more network connectivity, can't ping anything, no-email etc..

The following actions were taken to try and resolve this problem:
- stopped ipchains service
- checked resolv.conf
- tried connecting by IP address instead of hostname

One particular note of interest is that the security settings (lokkit) are stuck on "high", and can't be reconfigured for some odd reason.

Hope I am giving a clear explanation
