Wicd add to User's group error?

Hello everyone, thanks for being such great helps! I've been able to connect to non-hidden networks with an older version of Wicd on my Slackware 13 distro, and heard that updating to the newest version of Wicd would allow me to access the hidden networks no problem.

However, when I try to start up wicd, it now gives the error that the dbus wasn't able to connect to the wicd deamon and that I needed to add the user to the users group. I can't find any group titled "user" group. Does anyone know what this might be?

I think they mean 'users' not 'user'

Maybe, but I can't find I users group either. Would I be able to add it from the user manager or by doing useradd -G users <the user>?

Thanks, I didn't know I could create a new group and that that would actually work for this. Everything works now!
