Wi-Fi Access Point using systemd-networkd
Hello all, firstly let me wish everyone the compliments of the season!
I have done some research all over the web and in this forum concerning setting up a Wi-Fi Access Point (sometimes mentioned as AP mode) using systemd-networkd management. I can find plenty of articles concerning the bloated NM but I don't use this feature on any of my machines (Fedora LapTop & Archlinux server). Has anyone had any success or is it not feasible using this method? I have used with success this information in setting up a router using systemd-networkd: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...kd-4175551728/ Any comments/ideas appreciated. Edit : I've found that hostapd is the way to go so I'll report any success .... |

Thanks for the reply. I'm just tinkering really but managed to set up everything correctly using hostapd and everything is working. I didn't have to mess with the networking configuration. My network is very small but WiFi coverage in the house is not good. My RPi3 is now running Archlinux as an AP with a dedicated VPN as well as other things (cups server, etc).
