Hello, i'm new member. Using this Slackware like distrubion called Tukaani (tukaani.org)

My problem is, that Scourge (the second computer) isn't getting any ip-address from dhcp server (the first computer, Misery).

I reinstalled my distrubion couple days ago, becouse i wanted to repartition my windows XP and Tukaani partitions.

I burned my configuration files to cd, to prevent this kind of problems. It seems that something did go wrong.


In misery's /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf file:

IPADDR[0]=""
NETMASK[0]=""
USE_DHCP[0]="1"
DHCP_HOSTNAME[0]=""

# Config information for eth1:
IPADDR[1]="10.0.0.1"

Worked out fine, before reinstallation of Scourge

In Scourges /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf file:

DHCP_HOSTNAME[0]=""

# Config information for eth1:
IPADDR[1]=""
NETMASK[1]=""

This also, worked fine before installation.

So it's loaded.

Any ideas?

Looks like you might need to figure out how to disable IPV6.

Just a stab in the dark.

No, I had to enable ipv6 support from the kernel and shoot hole to my firewall.
Got it.
