Question Why not open the website


first of all.I am sorry my English is not good.
I installed two systems : fc6 and xp .
But I wonder why not the Internet fc6 .
I was using the school's network to the server can be connected to external networks through school .
My computer is ip 10.50.1.77
Subnet Mask :255.255.255.0
Gateway :10.50.1.254
DNS:202.99.192.68(211.82.16.10)

This is the data of ping :

Fc6 within the school system,Not visit the home page of the school's network ,Of course, not even on the external network ,Under normal work in xp .

Are you saying that you cannot visit an intranet site of the school? But you can with XP?

I would check your dns settings. You are using DNS server that are on the Internet. The school may have some internal DNS servers.

Compare the DNS settings in XP and Linux

yes!

How DNS installed? (202.99.192.68) China Telecom DNS ,I have Compared the DNS settings in XP and Linux ,I configured system-config-network

If you type in the IP address of the website can you get to it that way?
