Why not able to ping
Hi ALL,
I have a Linux box with two NIC. One (eth1) connnects to Internet and another one (eth0) connects to my loclal LAN. I have configured SNAT for SMTP and POP3 acces and squid to share Internet. All my clients are able to access Internet and emails. The problem is - While at the Linux box I am able to ping any Internet address but not able to ping my local Lan. Any idea ???????? In this case it would be most likely that your clients are running some sort of firewall, and the firewall rules say not to respond to ICMP. |
