why i can't commont errorlog? in apache?


i using apache 2

i set
#errorlog logs/error_log in httpd2.conf

but can't work!

have any one know how to commont ErrorLog? THX

if the directive is to act u have to remove the # at the beginning of the line and then restart the server. Maybe u have to set the ServerRoot variable there, too.

now,i want to set have not any errorlog to create.so i want to commont the errorlog command,and i have added # in front of ErrorLog logs/error_log,but it looks can't work.
after i save the httpd2.conf,and restart apache.

i type the command below:

cd /var/log/httpd

then i saw the error_log file CHANGE while i have errorlog

so you want to run apache without an error log? do i get you right? why? I cannot imagine why this could be important...
