why i can't activate kerberos

hi,
i hv a problem in activating kerberos server in my machine..
for information, i hv followed all the steps including set the realm ( IIU.EDU.MY )in /etc/krb5.conf and replace EXAMPLE.COM to IIU.EDU.MY in /var/kerberos/krb5kdc.conf and in /var/kerberos/krb5kdc.acl, creating database and administrative privilege.
everything was ok, krb5kdc and kadmin were successfully turned on but once i tried to test it using kinit command, it said that can't solve network address for the realms...
can you give me ideas how to solve it or any quick guidance that can help me along since the deadline of my project is tomorrow...
ur help is highly appreciated...

thank you
