Why can't i connect to qwest wireless lan?

Running Suse10.0/WinXP dual boot on Avaratec 5500 with Raylink RT2500 (internal) card. Recently subscribed to Qwest DSL service and installed Motorola 3347 wireless router. XP automatically found the LAN and connected. With Linux i cannot connect. Iwlist sees the network and I can ping a few urls but Konqueror can't find anything. The problem doesn't occur at local library (Open) or coffee shop (WEP) where i routinely use Linux. I suspect something is not properly configured (interface, wlan, dhcp, dhcpcd, firewall) but can't find any combination that works. What am i missing???
