Why a secondary DNS?
I have a small public webserver (slackware) that I use to host a forum for friends to use. I have 1 static IP address and only 1 router. I have bought a domain name and setup Bind. The problem is, I am unable to tell the registar that I only want to use this DNS without a secondary DNS. Why do I need a secondary DNS anyway? The DNS and Web server are on the same machine, so if the primary DNS goes down, the web server is most likely down too and a secondary DNS isn't going to help... How can I get around this?
Thanks,
Simon
