Which would be easier?
Just curious which would be easier for internet connection (Cable) sharing -
2 Computers, 3 Nic cards, and a Network Switch :D Linux machine serving internet to the Windows machine or the Windows machine serving internet to the Linux machine? (the Linux machine is dual booted with Winxp. I installed Linux to play around with the OS. I've found that i do a lot of rebooting and switching between operating systems and this causes a problem for the users of the other computer. If their computer serves internet to mine, i can go back and forth between XP and Redhat without interrupting them). Also, would i have to configure Samba or Masqing if linux was recieving internet (rather than sending it?). Thanks. :) |
Let me answer my own questions :)
MUCH easier. In fact, i didnt even have to configure a thing! I just logged on and began surfing. i can log back and forth between Windows and Redhat without disturbing the second computers connection. Now i can concentrate on playing with LInux. Getting familiar with the OS, etc... :D |
