Hello, I've set up a little demo network of linux boxes;
Currently they are dual booting win98/slack8.1 or win98/mandrake8.2 with a win2000 server as internet gateway, such that at any time there will be mixed os's on the network.
I've set up one box as "server" (if this is even the right word for such a thing) running telnet, ssh and ftp services. People can remotely access the "server" on mass and ... pretend it's a mainframe
But after playing with remote access and ftp it's time to do some new things with the network.
Some thoughts :
Make a Linux firewall box
Use Samba to look at the win2000 NTFS partitions and access the printer
Set up Apache web server
========
Any other ideas ? The easier to implement the better.
