what for file transferring solution.


i have a LAN A far away from me. LAN A has it fixed ip to the internet. i myself is on LAN B. now my clients at LAN B want to transfer some files from LAN A. What is the best solution to do this? pls reccommend some...and what is the tools needed to look into it. thanks...

Some possiblel solutions.
1) Using FTP.
2) Using SSH for secure file transfer.
3) Using VPN software.

Using FTP would probably be the easiest for your clients. They could use their file manager software like konqueror or explorer to transfer the files.

The FTP server would need to be running on a host on LAN A, according to your description. You said you were at lan B and your clients were on Lan B. Was one of those supposed to be different. Do you have control of hosts at LAN A.
