what do i need to make a cluster with Slackware 9?
 
ok i have slack 9 installed on the system i intend to use as my head unit,

what do i need to set up the rest of my systems as nodes?

i read something about openmosix in a previos post but havent a clue if its what i need or not.

any help would be apreciated.

i did a little research on openmosix with debian couldn't be to far off for slackware. i love my supercomputer. still cant figure out a good use for it but im looking. what are you going to be using yours for?

Before you go any further you need to define what you are going to do with it. Don't build a solution in search of a problem. Find a problem and develop the solution for it. There are serveral ways to build a cluster.

why not do some folding at home? :D you would potentially be helping to find cures for cancer, alzheimer's and other disorders that can happen when proteins don't fold correctly. the team i'm on at sharkyforums.com is always looking for a few good folders, come check it out. :)
