What applications , Daemons and Hardware are involved with Internet Connections

I apologise for initially being so general. I want to learn this topic but I can't get the framework for it. I'm mostly interested in how data from a Browser reaches the physical Network Port on the Computer. Here are some other queries.

-Does a Browser put data on a bus or a file?

-What separates packets and allows Ports to access them.

-What Applications/Daemons make up the behaviour of a Port.

Thanks in advance!

Take a look at the OSI model.

The Browser speaks to the IP stack of the host. An HTTP request belongs on layer 7 of the OSI model. It causes the IP stack to open a session (layer 5) by creating a connection to TCP port 80 (layer 4) of the IP address of the server (layer 3), which is encapsulated in an ethernet frame (layer 2) by the NIC driver, and then sent as electrical pulses by the physical NIC (layer 1).
