What's the differnce between the OUTPUT and POSTROUTING chains in the NAT table?

Hello!

Can someone help me with the question in this message subject...?

I'm talking about NAT table...

The differnce is maybe on the routing decision? OUTPUT before, POSTROUTING after?

Any help will be nice!

Thanks!

Have a look at chapter 6 of the most popular iptables tutorial on Earth.

There's a nice flowchart included in that chapter.
