WG111T with new atheros kerneldriver ath9k

Hi everybody,

did anyone get this damn stick to work exept with ndiswrapper?
After loading the module manually under ubuntu jaunty no new networkalias appears. lsusb shows the stick with the comment (no firmware)...

I don't own this card, but a quick search on the net, I found that there is no native support (although I o admit the posts were a little old). here is a simple post on making it work. the niswrapper page also has a little info about your card.

The no firmware part of lsusb sounds interesting : either you need to install a firmware (should be included in windows driver package - copy to /lib/firmware/) or you have a revision where no firmware is needed (less likely)...


PS : see if there is any mention of the card in dmesg (using the ath9k driver) - just type dmesg into a terminal.
