Weird FTP "problem"

I use ProFTPd on my server at home, and I have set up a "jailed" ftp-root folder. ( /ftp)
Inside this, I have mounted two discs, to folders movies and music. I've given them chown -R root:users and chmod -R 0777

This works great until I try to upload stuff to these folders.
When trying to upload files, I get to about 13MB every time, and then it stops.
I've tried uploading from two different computers, but it fails on both.
Downloading is just fine from, runs like a charm.

I have 100Mbps Full-Duplex both ends.

Anyone got any idea what I might try to get it working?

max upload size in config file

Does proFtp have a Max upload size in the config file?

No, no MaxSize anywhere. That's what troubles me.
I also found the same problem using:
SSH File Transfer Client and Samba..

(Sorted the problem now though. I sat down yesterday and upgraded to Slack 10.0)
Enabled Samba and voilá, I backed up 25GB over the network like it was nothing.
