You're getting different results, obviously, but we need details before we can help. You say CentOS/Ubuntu...which is it? What browser? What version of CentOS/Ubunutu? Have you tried a different browser? Changed the user agent of the browser?? What results DO you get when you try to hit the site???

Some sites are written poorly, and 'need' Windows...changing your user agent will work most of the time, and the site will come right up. You may just have to use your Windows box for your online-dating.

I agree with TB0ne, and would like make addendum:

We're seeing the results of traceroute, which is bouncing around DNS servers. Some servers don't trust other servers and whatnot, it's in their config files. Windows servers often do not trust Linux servers, so I find the output from traceroute on these 2 machines quite interesting. This is why well crafted referrer info is so important.

Thank you, OP ajeet84, for the excellent post.

I noticed something else. When I perform a traceroute, hops 9 and 10 give a reproducible timeout.
Code:
1 192.168.110.10 0.125 ms 0.117 ms 0.124 ms
 2 192.168.1.1 1.649 ms 3.672 ms 4.662 ms
 3 200.6.144.18 29.641 ms 30.600 ms 31.575 ms
 4 200.6.144.17 37.568 ms 38.551 ms 39.516 ms
 5 200.6.144.3 82.525 ms 83.505 ms 84.475 ms
 6 63.245.47.69 76.483 ms 78.390 ms 79.380 ms
 7 63.245.5.221 80.343 ms 79.953 ms 81.797 ms
 8 4.31.223.77 81.831 ms 63.851 ms 64.859 ms
 9 * * *
10 * * *
11 4.34.191.254 133.949 ms 134.986 ms 134.959 ms
12 184.168.0.73 129.894 ms 130.936 ms 184.168.0.69 118.966 ms
13 184.168.0.69 119.024 ms 184.168.0.73 130.899 ms 127.940 ms
14 * * *
Other that that, the traceroute stops at 184.168.0.69 just like with the OP. Note that I turned off name resolution.

Ping however does work without any packet loss.
Code:
PING loveship.in (23.229.195.185) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from ip-23-229-195-185.ip.secureserver.net (23.229.195.185): icmp_seq=1 ttl=50 time=118 ms
64 bytes from ip-23-229-195-185.ip.secureserver.net (23.229.195.185): icmp_seq=2 ttl=50 time=118 ms
I can browse the website using FF 31.3. This is the result of a telnet test:
Code:
jlinkels@donald-pc:~$ telnet www.loveship.in 80

Thanks everyone for reply.

@TB0ne, Currently I am facing this problem only on CenOS 7 systems. I tried using Chrome, FF, Swithched User Agent to few but nothing works.

Also, the problem is intermittent.

Please suggest any workaround.

Thanks

Do you like to enable Firebug on FF browser and trace out whether there is any Referrer or User Agent issue when trying to browse from the CentOS 7 ?

Thanks
Philix

Hi philix,

There is no error in console.

I'd like to add that all the sites hosted on the IP get timed out at that time. Not only sites, I could not connect through FTP Too.

Thanks

The fact that it's intermittent is worth noting. Are you saying you CAN browse it from CentOS with Chrome SOMETIMES, but not others??? If that's the case, I don't think there's much we can help with, since your system is obviously working. Also, as others have noted, I'm able to pull that site up from here on both Linux and Windows just fine. This points to a network problem further upstream at your end, if that's the case.
