Do you mean that if you browse from your local machine that you can't see external websites, or from external machines you can't see your internal website?

If the former, can you see websites if you put in an IP address rather than a name? If so, your DNS is at fault. If not, check your firewall settings are letting http requests through (ie port 80 is open).

If the latter, what message do you get? Can you see the site if you enter your IP address, in which case you probably don't have a name server set up with your website. If not, again, try your firewall settings are allowing port 80 through.

In either case, try pinging the the address and IP

You may have to setup your router for port forwarding. I ran in to this the other day while setting up my web server. When a DNS sends someone to your web server, they actually are directed to the ip of your router. Well obviously your router doesn't have a web page on it, so you have to tell it where to send all port 80 requests.

Other difficulties may arise, but this is the first thing I would check. If your isp is handling your router configuration, they should be able to set that up easy enough.

Good luck.
