Web Hosting on RH9 via ADSL from internal network??
 

Hi All

I am new to Linux but i want to do webhosting from a RH9 Box. How many sites can i host? Can i also host email for all sites? can i host from an internal network to the internet via ADSL? What do i do if my router is dynamically assigned an IP address.

My internal network IPs are 192.168.0.1/20. I want to host on a windows box and a linux box different sites. How would i go about this from an internal network to the internet.

Welcome to LQ.

You can do all of these things. If you have a dynamic IP then you should look into services offered by companies like:
http://www.dyndns.org

You can host as many sites as you want on each machine but if you only have one IP and you want to host on windows and linux you will need to look into apaches proxying options or run the servers on different ports.

The only thing you should check is that this does not violate your ISPs AUP.
