web/dns and user behind the same NAT, websites unavailable
See this photo (diagram)
http://ovh.to/hNxGcL9
I have NAT'ed www/dns services to the server behind the NAT (in our office). Websites are available from internet- ok.
But when connecting to the same websites from the same office network. I am redirected to the router control panel, but not to the websites.

What happens if you make manual host entries in the workstations and point them to the internal IP of the www server?

Thank you, I did consider this solution, but I wander what could be the cause of it. The router is Ubiquiti Edge - Vyatta based. There are many hosts in the office (plus wifi smartphones), so entering manually the IP's I think not the best option. For example if the laptop is used both - in office and at home. The websites will be not avalable in both locations.

Ok, so it's certainly a router issue rather than network, as for that particular brand of router I haven't a clue. Sorry.

I'm sure it's something to do with the way the router is handling the NAT on traffic it's seeing "inside".
When you try to resolve/ping your www server I'm guessing you're seeing the router public IP?

Yes, from behind the NAT websites are resolving to the public IP.
Host Loss% Snt Last Avg Best Wrst StDev
1. 88.119.xxx.242 0.0% 8 0.6 0.6 0.6 0.8 0.0
The router control panel is running on 443 port, not 80, but still webbrowser redirects to 443
