Want to set NIC to modem-speed

I want to be able to change the speed on my NIC to 33600/0,512/2Mbs, can't find the tool to use?
I checked mii-tool, eth-tool, ifconfig and the network gui-tool in FC3 and Mandrake 10.0 but no luck.
Any ideas?
(The reason is I want to show people I'm creating web-sites for how fast their pages load with different connections.)

hmmm. if it's just for show and not permanent you could use SQUID with delay pools.
I used that to throttle my dad's computer in our home network.
It's IP based though, but everything from 0 Bit/s to maximum is possible.
