vsftp setup
 

hey there all,

i am setting up vsftp and have it running fine on my RH9 box.

i have all of the users jailed in their home directories which are /var/ftp/user_name.

i would like however to have them all be able to access a common directory where i can put files for common download by all ftp clients. for example if they could all access /var/ftp/pub or /var/ftp/download that would be ideal.

please let me know if there is any more info i can give you.

how did you add users to the /var/ftp/pub directory?

oh okay i figured it out. I just had to create a directory w/ root and allow permissions. I thought I had to do something in the config file. Couldn't you just create a directory /var/ftp/pub/ftpusers and allow users from the group ftpusers access?
