vsftp - set default dir


anyone know how to set the default directory for a user? i have vsftp set up and working perfectly fine (running RHEL v4 es), but whenever i connect to it it always puts me in my home directory and i need it to log me into a different directory.

use the chroot option in the vsftp conf file, then you just have to change the user's home directory to whatever you want the default directory to be. This will also lock the user in that directory so they can't explore around your filesystem.
