Question VPN woes

hi guys,
this is a real interesting problem that i'd been facing for past 1 week... i've a x86 machine running Fedora core 4... i've 3 NICs on this machine namingly eth0, eth1 and eth2... i've a adsl internet connection so eth0 is occupied on it ... eth1 is connected to a local private network... till now i'd been providing internet access to all machines on the local network by running squid proxy... now one of my friends has moved to US and needs to access few machines on the private LAN of mine so i decided to make use of OpenVPN to allow him secure access to our private network ... however since i've installed this software all the internal machines on LAN have stopped pinging to eth0 on my internet machine ... if any one has a solution to this problem kindly report the solution at the earliest possible...
thankx...

can you give a config file? and maybe the result of
ip route list
ip addr list

on your machine.

I didn't experience much problems with openvpn
