VNCServer not accpeting connections

Hi
I have installed vncserver previously and used it correctly. But this time it seems that vncserver is not accepting connections. The vncserver starts correctly but I can not see it listening to any port. Even when the firewall is disabled.

Starting nmap 3.81 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ ) at 2006-07-24 19:44 EEST
Interesting ports on mail.example.com (127.0.0.1):
(The 1642 ports scanned but not shown below are in state: closed)
PORT STATE SERVICE
21/tcp open ftp
22/tcp open ssh
25/tcp open smtp
53/tcp open domain
80/tcp open http
111/tcp open rpcbind
113/tcp open auth
139/tcp open netbios-ssn
199/tcp open smux
445/tcp open microsoft-ds
602/tcp open unknown
631/tcp open ipp
698/tcp open unknown
783/tcp open hp-alarm-mgr
953/tcp open rndc
1016/tcp open unknown
2049/tcp open nfs
3128/tcp open squid-http
3306/tcp open mysql
8080/tcp open http-proxy
10000/tcp open snet-sensor-mgmt

Nmap finished: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.476 seconds

And on the internal IP "where it is supposed to work"

Hi ALInux,

If it's not opening a listening socket then it probably is failing when you try to start it. We run some vnc for particular users and when it's started vnc will create log files in ~/.vnc/`hostname`:1.log
Try checking there for answers.

Hello,

Well that makes it simple enough. Depending on the distro just install your fonts from the package manager (apt, yum ,etc.).
