VNC questions
Ok I want to be able to start a VNC session and I want it to point to 192.168.1.XXX:YY how would I set VNC to see this I.P.? Do I have to edit something in /etc/hosts? And also what is VNC's default port?

Need more info:
Are you on broadband of some kind?
Do you have a router between cable/dsl and internal lan?
Are you trying to connect to an internal lan machine from outside on the wan side on the internet?
If all is yes then in your router you need to setup a port forward address to the internal lan machine. Default port is 5900.

Sorry this is I guess where I am at right now VNC is installed and when I start a session it sees my localhost.* stuff that is why I am wondering if I should edit that or something somewhere else.
