VNC connection issues...

Any help would be appreciated on my situation...

I just recently installed VNC 4.0 using the Redhat 7.3 rpm file from realvnc.com...and here is what happens:

I run vncserver on my Fedora Core 3 machine and it gives me a hostname.whatever:x created message , however whenever I try to connect to this using my windows box (with the IP address or hostname), it gives me a timing out error. The first thing I suspected was that the firewall was enabled, however it was disabled. Another puzzling thing, is that I can start up a vnc server on my windows box and connect to it from my Fedora Core 3 box (go figure).

Is there something else that could be blocking a VNC connection to my linux box?

Hopefully somebody here has had a problem like this before

Can your Fedora box connect to its own VNC server? If yes, it's likely a permissions problem, (or maybe a problem with the Windows client). If no, your server's probably broke

Are you trying to connect to hostname:x or just hostname? You need to use the hostname:x because you can have multiple vncservers running and you need to tell the vnc client which one to use.
