Vnc client on iPad looses connection to a Centos 6.5 server

Eventually ( after fair amount of difficulties) managed to establish connection through VNC between an IPad and a Centos 6.5 server on a LAN, but the link keeps breaking down after a very short period ( couple of minutes).
Any clue about possible cause of the problem?
Thks
G.R.

You can try to ping the server in that period of time, to see if only the conection with VNC server drops, or all traffic to that server drops. Then reply.
