VMWARE messed up my samba

hello, I recently installed the trial version of vmware. I answered yes to most of the installers questions some of which had to do with SAMBA. When I tried to use samba later with smbclient or smbmount it would not work anymore. I could no longer access my windows shares. It had worked perfect before. The windows computers can still see the things that samba shares. Please help, thanks.

anyway back at home I tried a reinstall of samba. I changed out the packages but have the same old errors here it is
[root@ingram /root]# smbmount //Richard/Richard /mnt/Richard
timeout connecting to 216.10.106.149:139
Connection to Richard failed
SMB connection failed
anyhelp would be appreciated and Richard is the name of the computer and the shared folder, thanks
