Question VLAN problem !!

Im using Slackware 10.2.0 with my own compiled kernel 2.6.17.1,

I want to use VLAN's but when adding a VLAN i get a strange warning:

'WARNING: Could not open /proc/net/vlan/config. Maybe you need to load the 8021q module'

This is strange because the 8021q is loaded:

Module Size Used by
8021q 18856 0ipv6 222400 12
xt_pkttype 1824 0
iptable_raw 1984 0
xt_CLASSIFY 1792 0
xt_CONNMARK 2368 0
xt_MARK 2304 0
xt_length 1984 0
xt_connmark 1984 0
xt_physdev 2224 0
xt_multiport 3168 0
..

More strange is that the '/proc/net/vlan/config' is created after adding the VLAN. But after a reboot the file is gone.

What's going wrong?? Anybody....?
