visit linux web from windows, the site couldn't execute "index.html" automaticlly

two computers connected directly by netcards, one Fedora, one Windows, I've installed Apache on Fedora and it works well on it, I could visit it by typing "localhost/mysite ", but when I visit from the Windows, I have to type "Fedora/mysite/index.html ", if without "index.html", it won't work, says like "couldn't find the page", I've checked the "http.conf" several times and made some changes, but the problem still....

anybody good advice?

thx a lot!

Did you try editting the line that looks like this:
DirectoryIndex index.html index.html.var

it should have index.html included in that line. It is case sensitive if I recall correctly.
