Virtual Network Adapter?

I want to route traffic betweene different subnets. How can I create virtual network interface adapter on linux (Debian)? I don't want to use alias ip addresses or vlan I want to create few virtual net adapters (like for example you can i vbox) and than route traffic between them. Is it possible?

Yes sir, this is possible and is known from a very quick google to be a tun/tap device depending on how you use it. To set it up see http://backreference.org/2010/03/26/...face-tutorial/
