Viewing Windows shares through Linux

Hello Linux users,

I have finally configured my Samba server so that Windows users can see Linux shares. Now how does Linux properly see Windows pcs and their shares? It seems to be a weird on and off thing, one moment I can see the whole network (over 100 computers) then theyre gone. I've tried it through the konqueror browser and under networking, and I've also used the smb4k program, but now both wont let me access the network, with Konqueror giving me an "Internal Error", not very helpful. Do I need another program to be like the opposite of Samba? Anyways my distro is SuSE 9.1 Pro, any help appreciated
