Viewing my Linux Computer on Win XP

Hello,

I understand to use Samba on my Linux machine to view the rest of my network which are Win XP computers, but how do I view my Linux computer on a Win XP network?

Thank You for the help!

The simple answer is install and configure Samba. See the tutorials and the wiki on this board for examples and how-tos.

BTW, you don't need samba to view windoze from linux. You need the clients stuff only. If you run KDE, open Konqueror, and type in the location bar, smb://windozehostname/sharename.

Just use the correct names for the windoze box and share name.

camorri: If I read the OP right, {s}he wants to view the Linux box from an XP box.

For which you would need the SAMBA server (probably incorrect terminology.) installed.
