Exclamation veryoften client are not able to paste files to my samba server

hi friends
i have linux 7.2 box configured for samba. where now a days i am getting a problem. my clients machines are windows 98. the problem is that some of the clients paste files to the respective folder, and when after sometime some other client access that folder, he is not able to see the respective file in that folder.
notice that it happens for some clients whereas other clients have no problem. another thing i have configured a script so that every file transaction is logged in a file. and that file also shows that the transaction is success in case of the above problem. so i think there must some bug or some problem with linux samba.
anybody come across this type of the problem plz advise me as the earliest possible.
